When a client contacts me about scheduling a boudoir photo shoot I hear the same questions more often than not.  Below are some of my boudoir photo shoot tips, hopefully you’ll find them useful!

Q:  I’ve never done this before!  What should I expect?

A:  That’s great!  Most of my clients haven’t done a session before.  I HIGHLY recommend setting up a meeting with me!  That way we can meet face to face, you can see my studio and albums, and we can address all your concerns.  I promise it’ll make the day of shooting much more comfortable for both of us.

Q:  Where will my session take place?

A:  The price of each boudoir package includes a room rental at one of the many luxurious hotels in Sacramento, California. Typically the Citizen Hotel or Westin Hotel.

Q:  Is hair and make up included?

A:  Hair and Make up is included in my premium and deluxe session fees. Prices are always negotiable if you have your own however!

Q:  Can I bring a friend to my session?

A:  Yes you can!  Friends are fun to bring along for support.  I allow only one, since there isn’t room for more, and only ask that you bring a supportive, positive, friend that you’re comfortable around.   If you feel that you’d be more uncomfortable having another pair of eyes on you then I wouldn’t suggest it.  It’s all about feeling great and having fun during my sessions.

Q:  I have bad skin, do you edit that?

A:  Don’t you worry, I’ve got you covered!

Q:  I’m really not comfortable with a part of my body, do I have to be nude?

A:  Absolutely not!  Most of my clients keep some form of clothing on the entire session.  Your comfort is the most important thing to me.  If I suggest something you don’t like just let me know! Typically we have a whole game plan set up prior to the shoot to avoid any awkwardness.

Q:  These photos are a surprise for my husband.  Can you please not share them on your website?

A:  I LOVE surprises!  Where or not I get to share any photos is completely up to you!  If there are any photos I’d like to use I will always approve with you first!  You’ll notice most of the photos on my site don’t show my client’s faces for that exact reason.

Q:  What should I bring?

A:  I encourage you to bring any jewelry, shoes, or special meaning items, anything to get creative with.

Q:  Will I get to see photos while we’re shooting?

A:  Yes!  I’ll show you a few during shooting to make sure you know how amazing you look!

Q:  When will my photos and album be ready?

A:  Your online gallery will be up within a week.  In most cases 2-3 days.
